Forum Title: Steaming: Anybody Tried This?
I have a chance to pick up some salvaged barn wood at a great price. Itís 1x stock varying in length from 5í-12í, which Iíd want to mill and re-use it as floor planking. Some pieces are twisted so hereís the questions: Can I steam them straight? Counter-clamp them a few degrees past the twist and steaming them straight enough to get them through my thickness planer?More than one board at a time? Not a lot of work here right now so I have way more time than money. I have a scrap 14î rectangular return air duct I was thinking of using for the steam bed. Ideas? Thanks.
