Forum Title: Walk-up Closet
My wife wants a walk-up closet, since there is no room for a walk-in closet. We have a pulldown staircase (ladder) up to our attic. Around that scuttlehole in the center of the attic is an open area with plenty of height, the ridge is about 10' from the attic floor. So there is lots of storage space up there, but it's dirty. It's fully ventilated with soffit vents and a ridge vent. And my wife worries about spiders and bugs. So what I was thinking about is building a small enclosure, maybe 7'X10' to use as a closet. The main thing about this enclosure is that it would be sealed off from the dirty attic space. I do NOT want to get into drywall and spackling. I saw a video on YouTube in which they used thick plastic to seal an area of the attic for storage, but I'd like something a little more solid than plastic. Do they make any type of inexpensive paneling that could work for this? Has anyone done something like this before?
